For those of you tired of using mobile.blackberry.com (for the limited apps that they offer) or searching endlessly at wap.getjar.com (for java applications that may or may not work on your device). Well how about an official unofficial option, berrystore! Berrystore is still in beta but such a great tool, access to applications (free and trial apps). Also, the store grows and grows in apps offered by you the user. If you have an application that you use and not listed on here email the developers. Berrystore is broken down into categories, once opened; you can see what applications are listed in that category. You can install the application, read reviews, or write a review about the application you have downloaded and tried.

I can't get it to run on my Bold. I get an error:

"Couldn't get version: com.facebook.thrift.transport.TTransportException: Cannot read. Remote side has closed. Tried to read 4 bytes, but only got 0 bytes."

Anyone got any pointers?

I installed it on my 8310,but when I was trying to use it the screen went white and I had to do a battery pull to get the phone working again.

Still looked really cool before I uninstalled it.

This is a great app however the developers need to put the actual pricing of the apps/services for these applications instead of listing them all as free. Also there is a News/Weather category but there are no weather apps listed, there are quite a few weather apps for BB devices. And yes I know this is a beta, but weather apps are one of the most highly discussed types of applications in the forums.

This will be truly Awesome once it's polished up a bit. Great job to the team putting this together and thank you to the OP for the post.

i believe the store only shows apps that are available for the device that is requesting them. maybe your phone does not have any weather apps available.

This app keeps rebooting my 8310. It loads up and then when I scroll down to an item it reboots. Anybody know why this is?

I get the exact same error message on my 8310 Curve.... any suggestions Stackers?

8300 running 4.5OS instantly reboots when I click on any category. Love the idea but Ill hold off until its running smooth. Definitely would be a great addition to the BB phones though
