Description from the website

A simple screen capture utility for Blackberry devices with 4.3 or higher. You simple assign the the application to a Blackberry connivence key, and press the key on the screen of your choice. The device capture will be saved to the first available storage medium (Storage Card or Device Memory)

i downloaded the ota version and got the uncaught exception error

cool app tho...comparable to snapscreen? did you get it to work on your bold?

ok, had to go into options/advanced options/applications

then choose captureit, and set all permissions to allow

then i set the right convenience key to capture it and it worked. once you snap the image, the phone vibrates for about 3 seconds, then the image is saved in your pictures/media card

The latest version is 1.2, and that one doesn't have to be assigned to a convenience key (first version I'd heard about did). 1.2 adds a menu item that when chosen will get rid of the menu and then take a snap. If you need to take snaps of stuff including the menu, you'll have to sacrifice a convenience key, otherwise you can keep the key for something else.

Whoooooa, that's weird!!!!! Every time I try to open it, my BB vibrates for 4secs, then nothing....weird.

There's a new version also that you don't have to have the right side key to snap pictures. You can also capture a pic right off the screen w/o pressing any buttons.

Just the other day, I wa lookin for cl_ldr or something like that, and then came across another screen capturing program, that only worked for the desktop, and now its like a wish come true, took me awhile to figure out how to set the convienence key (thanks CHERRIE) cause I was having one of those wednesdays, where the lights were on but no one was home, and now, I can rip themes, and put them in photoshop and set them to my xbox360 (XBERRY 360) background!

I've noticed when I CaptureIt from the menu option and attempt to delete the snapshot from my media card, I receive an error stating that the file is in use and the snapshot will not delete. When I CaptureIt from the convenience key, I have no issues deleting it.

And how would you do that? CaptureIt doesn't always show up in the menu. Seems it only works with native apps.

I'm wondering how to do that too. Right now I'm just moving pics from device to card through the media player. The app works great though!

It is a great troubleshooting tool...With it you can take:

Screen Shots of applications
Screen Shots program settings
Screen Shots of program errors (Most likely would not work with OS errors)
Screen Shots of program permissions
Screen Shots for tutorials/"How To" guides

That's just a few off the top of my head!

Then I read back through the threads.... Found someone who said it was saving to the media card when buzzing. I have probably 30 pics of the same screen in there....

A great tool if you want to show off your themes. Along with what Wahtx mentioned.

I am glad most people find this a useful program.
