1) In the SIM Card menu, press meppd
2) You'll see the unlocking level screen there you type mepp2
*You won't see any text while you are typing either one of these.
3) Enter the unlock code.

Tmobile will gave the code to you but you have to have benn with them for sometime .I got mine for my pearl.

I just got my unlock code today and I can't get it unlocked. I tried it the way they gave me the directions, but it still just shows ID and Ph# with no changes when I type in the letters and numbers they gave me. What am I doing wrong?

yea its 90 days and not past due on the account. you should only have to wait for up to 24 hours.

If you are on T-Mobile then you have the 8100 not the 8100r or anything like that.

It gives the ability to use it on a different carriers network, and also gives u a higher resale value because a user wouldn't have to be locked to that specific carrier.

are you a tmobile customer? your profile doesn't say...
if you are a tmobile customer, they should already have it.
if you aren't...they *probably* won't give it to you.

They usually ask for the last 4 of the SS of the account holder. I'd get suspicious if they ask for the whole thing.
