Pearl 2 8120 is available!! (T-Mobile)

I just did an upgrade via my.t-mobile.com.
Its $149 after a $50 mail in rebate.
Final cost was $232 BEFORE rebate and after tax ($14.xx in AZ) and upgrade fee ($18).

T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120
Suggested retail$349.99
Instant Discount-$150.00
Mail-In-Rebate-$50.00
$149.99
I believe the instant discount is for new contracts only.
If you want it without a plan it'll still be $300 after the $50 rebate.
I could be wrong...can a Tmo rep confirm? Or anyone that knows.

This is on the upgrade page on my.t-mobile.com. So this reflects an upgrade price, not a new plan.

Ok.
So for those that want it without a plan (those with no upgrades left) it would be $300.
Not cool lol.

W/O an available upgrade it'd be more then $300
I'm evil though; i got this for my wife for her birthday, told her about it and then told her she can't get it till her birthday in june, even though I'll have it in my hands.

I want to upgrade, but I just got my 8100 about 5-6 weeks ago. I would have waited if I knew the 8120 was coming out this month. I guess I'll just have to wait until I can get a little discount and then upgrade again.

TMO should authorize a new phone upgrade every year, or at least I've had the opportunity to get one. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~when I bought my 2nd pearl (the first one got squished) it used my "upgrade" even though it was a replacement phone... I think that sucks!

Its sad that all phone companies give better deals to would-be customers than the customers that have been loyal to them. I dont understand that. I looked up on my tmo site and it would cost me 289 plus the activation charge to get a 8120. I am not going to pay that much. Thats just sad imo.

They do, but it's only a partial discount if you have 2 year agreement. I've upgraded twice and both times it's been before my contract finished. To bad my first upgrade was to a Sidekick and not a BB, I could have saved a bunch of $$$.

Went into the store today and it is $349.99 without a contract. Rebate does not apply w/o a contract Also, did not like the color. It is very close to the titanium 8320 Curve. I walked out without getting it. I still have my White Pearl and will just use that as a back up for my Curve and wait for the new 4.5 release to get Video.

If that was a corp store then that's just plain wrong. Today was a national release not tomorrow. :-(

I just got mine. I went like right after school and that bish that works there told me my contract ends in 2009 and I will have to pay $308 and I showed her my secret weapon and she gave it to me for $218, and $50 mail in rebate so it comes out to like $168 here in Chicago

If you have TMO, you can call them and tell them that you just upgraded and found out about this phone and want to get it. They will probably give you a discount. I bought my Pearl 2 mos ago, but, called them and told them I wanted a Curve and they gave me $10.00 less than a new contract price if I wanted to up my contract again. I figured sure, that would only push my contract back another 2 mos. So, it is not impossible to get a good deal still.
Then you can sell your old phone to make up the difference.

You can with AT&T my wife did that when she got her Sony Ericson W580i
and next year she can do the same.
I'll be doing that when the BB 9000 comes out.

Well, I called Tmo and they are giving me a price of $199. So, now I can get it for less than I got my 8100 for.

Great, good job! Did you up your contrtact? If you did than you can get the rebate. Just go to TMO site and click rebate, Put in your # it finds the rebate, then choose upgraded through c/s and fill out the form and print it out. Send that in with the label and Viola! Now your phone is $149.99.

I just found out the thing supports 8GB media cards (now my iPod has some competition). I've already found a case (unless I like the one it comes with) and extended battery for it. I'm coming BACK (I guess Hayden was right about his last post picking on me LMAO)
Also, it supports WiFi and has UMA features. The user interface looks to be the same but SureType has been revamped with a spell checker. Check it out at www.tmobile.com

Maybe he wanted a smaller BB. Maybe the features of the 8120 enticed him. It's all personal preference. I went from a 7730 to a 7100t 4 years ago and haven't looked back.
