penpower: I'm running 4.2 and I can play some videos fine.

As for my question...

I don't know if it's a configuration issue on my device or something with my service provider but ever since they launched the mobile version of Rev3 I've only been able to play the smaller videos, like the daily Tekzilla episodes.

I was just curious if anyone else was able to play one of the full length shows, like The Totally Rad Show that's on the front page. Every time I try I get a 403 error saying that I'm not authorized to view the page because the request is too large.

Any suggestions?

That looks cool. Now it looks like the videos just take up a small area of the screen or is it full screen.looks like it'll be fun to check out. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

This sucks! I am running 4.3 and for some reason can't stream any of the videos!

In the BB browser...I can't see anything...when I click on 'play' it just reloads the exact same webpage....doesn't give me the choice to open/save anything

Sometimes I can get to the "additional charges from your carrier may apply" screen but if I click on that...it just reloads that webpage!

Lame!

I can further in Opera...I can click 'download' and get it to work but I can't 'stream' it.

Its bugging me that I cant figure out which settings in the BB browser are keeping me from playing the videos completely...and which Opera settings are keeping me from streaming...

Any ideas?

You are clicking on "additional charges from your carrier may apply" as indicated above. You should click on the red text below it instead. If not can't help really. Anyone else on a 8130?

hayden,

you will know about this... even when i try Tinytube... none of the videos work.. unless they are like 2-5 sec long... its kinda annoying... if the limit is 5mb that video should really be longer then 2-5 seconds...

what your thoughts? or would a different media player work?

tnx

Haha for a second...I thought I made a completely idiotic mistake...but, no, I am clicking on the red text and it only reloads (refreshes) the exact same page!

Anyone else have this or am I just crazy?

Like I said...it works in Opera but not the BB browser.

Also, is the link to "stream" dead? Cause when I click on that it does nothing. I really want to be able to stream episodes of Diggnation because they are, on average 250mb and like others mentioned, my IT policy won't allow me to download them.

If anyone else can get these longer episodes of Rev3 shows to play....please let me know!

I am only getting the hour glass of death when I try to view a video. I am using OS4.2.0.64 (no choice, I'm afraid). I finally executed a BP after 22 spins.

I just downloaded a 9.6MB video. I use my wifi setting for browser, chose to save file to videos. Downloaded and plays fine. Just a really small video not full screen at all, video is a little over 12 minutes. Will try others in a few.

I have a Verizon Pearl 8130 with version Pearl 8130 4.3.0.97...

If I use the BlackBerry Browser I too get the "additional charges from your carrier may apply"... Then I click the red link "click here to continue"... All that does is bounce me back to the same message... I can click all day long and I will be stuck in an infinite loop.

If I use Opera Mini 4 I get two options. The first is to stream a file... But the link does not work... I can click all day long... But it won't take me anywhere...

If I try and download the file it will open of BlackBerry Browser for me to download the file... Of course if the file is over 5MB it will not download...

Very frustrating. Their web site says they only support the GSM Curve and the GSM Pearl... I don't really think the 8100 is that much different from the 8130... I guess the 8130 has a newer OS than them all... Oh well....

I wish I could get this to work. This Revision3 stuff is really cool...

I am running 4.2.2.169. I tried it a couple weeks ago and again this evening....with no luck. If I click on 'Stream', I get the message "A problem occured while trying to render the page." If I click on 'Download', I get an "HTTP Error 403: Forbidden".

I'm running 4.2.2.184 and it worked fine for me. I didn't play with it a lot but I downloaded and played a couple of the choices there and no problem. (Running on UMA.)

I'm T-Mobile. It may be your carrier - I don't know about AT&T. You might check with other AT&T curve owners or go back in this thread and see if AT&T owners are having trouble.

i contacted rev3 with no response....lame....i was hoping they'd be more devoted to blackberry users if they were going to go this far to support video playback....

GOOD NEWS! I gave up hope too early!

A Rev3 rep just contacted me via email and told me that he is taking note the issue with the stream link....it hadn't been brought up to them yet.

He said he will keep me updated and that they will answer any questions/respond to any issues that we might have...hopefully it gets resolved soon because I love diggnation!

Also, for anyone that was having problems downloading before....(filesize too large blah blah blah) download the new Operamini beta 4.1 (www.operamini.com/beta)....for now it is working on my phone that previously gave me errors. The download is in progress....its kinda slow....but at least its moving! Hopefully it'll play once I have it!
