After using BB for almost 2 years here are a few of my suggestion for RIM future development (I hope they are reading this forum messages).
- Don't shut off the red led light for new alerts after a while, let the user shut it off to acknowledge the alert
- Alarm Utility - More then one alarm, more snooze options, unlimited ringing option
- Postponed Events and Task by a number of minutes you select when they come on, preset snooze times are lame
- Add birthdays and Anniversaries to contact, synchronize with outlook
- Phone numbers with extension are not showing in the caller ID with the name associate with that number
- When you dismiss or postponed something on the Blackberry it should impose it to Outlook and vice versa
- Have the same outlook fields for contacts
- Led behaviour determined by profile
- Have the ability to change the timezone on the device without affecting the Calendar records
Adios.

Re: My List of Suggestions
I completely agree with #1. That should be user definable (not even preset selections).
#4 - OS 4.3 (8130 so should come to the others soon) has birthdays (and Anniversary below it) in the contacts and syncs with my Outlook. So they heard you for that one
and the biggest thing to me: more memory/better processor. Many regular phones are beating BB's on this now, it's 2008 (in 2 days lol) time to change.

Re: My List of Suggestions
~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I'd like to have an audible alert (beep) every 2 mins when I miss a phone call or an sms, like a cell phone does. That should be an option.

Definitely more memory... 52 minus the OS its just awful to start a brand new phone with just 20 mb to use everything with. 100 mb should be the minimum

I have the 8130 and outlook, but I do not get these synched. Does my BES need to be updated? Those fields don't show in my version of BES.

So your 8130 doesn't look like this? Or do you mean they exist just don't sync?

Re: My List of Suggestions
I would suggest
1. Time set option for profile, eg ( profile vibrate ( 9am-5pm only)
2. BB weather push should update every 3hrs
3. BB should be 3g
4. Wifi
5. More internal memory
6. GPS
7. World Clock ( smart one) eg: if i call Australia from USA ( it should show the destination time also I guess it can work based on the country code/area code)
8. Time update automatically based on the network time
9. VOIP application which supports SIP over wifi & 3g
10. More push services eg: scores, stock, alerts
11. OTA sync for outlook...( contacts, cal, notes, tasks) for BIS

Re: My List of Suggestions
~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I would like to have automatic profile actions. if you have a meeting scheduled for 9am then the bb should switch to vibrate for the duration of the schedule. I miss that feature from wm6.

#8 your BB should have that option now.
home screen \ Options \ Date/Time \ Date/Time Source: Network\BlackBerry\Off - Network=carrier, BlackBerry=BIS/BES server
#11 not sure they would do that since that is what BES offers for an additional fee... although I think there were rumors of that coming to BIS. Not sure.

Re: My List of Suggestions
..for sure, coordinate the fields with Outlook. I have screwed up my contacts many times trying to keep 2nd phone numbers, addresses, etc. and have failed because of the goofy differences in the contact labels.

I have them on the 8130 and Outlook, but not in the BES options.

Re: My List of Suggestions
I'm not using BES either - I'm just using Outlook Express and my 8100. It's OK but it would be easier if the fields were in sync between the Desktop Mgr and Outlook.

Re: My List of Suggestions
#2 IS important. Every phone I've had recently has several alarms including a count-down alarm and all of them were easier to use than my 2 BB's (7130 and 8100). I don't use the single alarm on the BB unless I have to b/c it's so time consuming to set.
While we're at it, how about enabling the media card to be an option for the contacts list or even more important, 3d party applications. If we could use a 1-4gb card for applications it could free up the phones memory for better performance. It couldn't be that difficult to do.

Re: My List of Suggestions
I'd like to see a sleep timer on the media player. It's a nice feature on the ipods.

The current alarm on my 8310 has:
- Daily alarm
- Daily alarm (weekdays only)
What I would really like is:
- Single alarm (0ne day only)
