Purpose: Berry-a-Code solves a pretty simple problem. In real-time it tells you the originating city and state for phone numbers which do not exist in your address book.

Blackberry Requirements: Applications must be at 4.0.x or higher and Software Platform must be at 2.0.0.xxx or higher.

Area Code Support: Berry-a-Code currently supports over 275 US, 24 Canadian and 20 Caribbean area codes.

Since I'm not a "Stack Level 2" member, I can't post URL's. Hopefully, someone else can help me out and post a proper URL.

Cost: Free

hmm... downloaded, got stuck on the "Application installed successfully" screen.. waited about 5 minutes still nothin even after i clicked the trackball/escape/end.. so i did a battery pull and i get stuck at the "verifying security software" screen at 100%

i hooked it up to the PC and removed the app, and my phone ran fine..

OS - 4.2.0.64
Platform - 2.2.0.37

can anybody help me out? this sounds like a good app to have...

I did the OTA download and it ran perfeclty , someone called me from a number not registered on my bb It worked as on this picture above..

I am using an 8700G with 4.2 OS T-mo

i tried twice and the same thing happened the second time..

I would like to create a European edition, but it will take some work. I will also need help validating different countries as I only travel to Europe once every 2-3 months.

Send me a note if you want to help with a specific country. I will notify you when I need assistance.

I've only seen this once with a friends TMOB 8100 and I can't reproduce this on a simualtor. I dismissed the problem because my friend was having issues with other applications. I suggested he wipe his phone and try again. I don't think he ever did so I dismissed the bug.

Can you send me any logs? ALT LGLG when this happens from the ribbon (i'm not sure how to get to the logs on an 8100) but I'm sure others here do.

Who is your carrier?

event log? i can get to it with ALT LGLG but how do i send it to you?

I would do the following (if you can)...make sure the Berry-a-Code isn't installed.

Go to the "event log" and via the menu "Clear Log"
Install Berry-a-Code
As soon as you experience the issue, go to the Event Log and "Copy Days Contents" via the menu
Just paste it in an email to me ( eric at pintsizedapps dot com)

I will have the logs reviewed and see if there is a solution.

email sent..
oh and i couldnt get to the event log without removing the program first.. so i had to remove the program and then go to the event log

and also, when i pasted it to the email, it cut some of it off because it was too long.. will that be a problem? i scrolled all the way down and can see where i tried to install it and also where i removed it..
