here's an article pertaining to ads on mobile phones from verizon
i'm a cingular guy, but i figured you'd all wanna read it

not sure how much it will affect BB's since we are able to control what browser we use (mini opera for instance) but it will affect people using the default verizon browser i'm assuming

i say its all right if they give their customers a discount for viewing ..other wise its a rip off .

Lol!! They really would upset a lot of users if they put this in place for people who use smartphones. Especially if they want to limit the context that we are able to access. Itd be pointless to own a device that can browse the web, if your not going to be able to BROWSE. Lol all in the sake of advertising!!

That's far more polite than I'd be. If I'm paying for the data that comes onto the screen i want exactly what I request and not a KB more. I'm not on an unlimited data plan, nor do I need to be and in no way will I pay for more data than I request.

If you receive something you don't ask for i think that is called

"Spam"

I'm going to assume that users won't be charged for the extra data required to download the adverts.

I have no issue providing the following 3 things :

1) the limit the ads. A minimal amount shouldn't have much affect.
2) they lower data rates.
3) they stay away from tmo! Lol
