    Guitarist Jimi Hendrix died after collapsing at a party in London. Hendrix was born in Seattle, Washington, but rose to fame in Britain with his band the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

    in 1990 on this day (sept 18th) hersheys displayed a 500 lb. kiss in times square......and also on this day i was in times sqaure
