    I agree. I think the four, individually were the very best on their respective insruments, with Plant of course as vocalist. Who can argue that Page, Bonham and Jones were not the best guitar player, drummer and bassist? I don't think Jones got the credit he deserved. The bass solo in The Lemon Song is the best bass solo-bar none, I've ever heard.

    Got to agree about Page and Jones on guitars but I think Neil Pert from Rush would have to be an equal in this catagory of drummers. Hello!!? Limelight?

    True, but no one heard of Rush really outside Canada till the mid to late 70's. Maybe until the Moving Pictures album, thats what I meant, lol.

    Jer-you gotta hear the original recording. John Paul Jones solo, as I said is the best bass riff/solo I've ever heard. I got the original album in 1970, so I've been listening to rock for a long time.
