Re: Just curious if anyone smokes cigars in here?

Never met a Cuban cigar that i liked...

as far as smoking without inhailing, put the cigar between your teeth, and make like you're doing the kissy face thing. know what i mean? like the itailain chefs do when they say "now thatsa italian!"

oh, and the aftertaste? check what you're smoking. my theroy is that some cigar smokers are fashionistas. they smoke crap that is NASTY and suggest it to others because that's what they believe is COOL to smoke. i guarantee you, walk into a good cigar lounge. (store, not the bar) and go grab like a romeo and juliette, and ask the guy what he thinks. he'll give you the speach about burn, flavor, wrapper etc. now ask him what he smokes. it's on the other side of the store. he'll sell you the romeo because it's FASHIONABLE. he smokes the other because it's GOOD.

yes, i do... i'm all about a good cohiba presidente (cuban, not dominican), though i haven't seen nor had any in over a decade... did they get discontinued? i've been having to smoke cohiba robustos lately.

Since we don't have an embargo against Cuba they are legal here.

I've tried a few from different nations, including the Domincan Republic, just not the same experience.

For all the ladies out there, or even those new to cogars that would like a less traditional option to the "Ol' Stinky" that grandpa and the mayor smoked, look for CAO. They have come out witha a line of flavored cigars (no, that is not sacreligious) including Earth Nectar, Gold Honey, Eileen's Dream (Irish Creme flavor), and Moontrance (bourbon/chocolate flavor). They are available in small sizes like the petite corona (bout the size and shape of an average pinkey finger) to the cigarello (little bitty, about the size of a cigarette, imagine that!) any good tobacco shop worth their weight will sell them by the single, and answer questions about flavor, how to smoke, etc. Even better stores will let you smoke inside, offer free starter kits, and teach you LOTS. so give it a shot, you might enjoy it!
