Man the business is reaming its retarded and I bet a day after the hurricane passes it will be back to 3.45-50 a gallon. Big business is reaming the public.

We were told that by Tuesday/Wednesday the gas prices would be back to normal. It'll never be "normal" for me until it goes back to $2.00/gallon!

It's gouging, plain and simple. We didn't see too many drastic increases here because we have gouging laws, I guess, but it's truly a shame that some people have to take advantage of the misfortunes of others.

Vancouver WA. $3.55 a gallon (Arco)

Gas station down the street from my house.

    Portland OR. $3.63 a gallon (Union 76)

Gast station right down the road from my offices.

This is the lowest I have seen in a while. I don't think that Ike has made any effect out here in the NW. The highest I have seen this summer was about $4.25-4.45 a gallon out here so its been nice to kind of see a drop again.

Sad state of affairs to be sure. Whether it is a new hurricane, or some other major tragedy, the power players in the oil industry will find a reason to keep the prices high.

It is even worse that the prices in Canada are also being elevated due to "concern".
