    Firefighters to the rescue....YAY!

I would just like to take this moment to thank the Ottawa fire department for coming to my daughters rescue today...THANK YOU... THANK YOU... THANK YOU

On my way home today I stopped at my inlaws to pick up my daughter. While getting her safely snug in her car seat I threw my keys on the drivers seat (as I always do) so I could free my hands up... I then closed her door and proceeded to walk around my vehicle... what do I hear? "CLICK"!!! WTH?!?!

OMG!!!!! You want to see what a panicked mother looks like... lock her keys in her car with her baby in the back!

Right away I call CAA (that's the canadian AAA) while making peek a boo gestures towards Amber. After being put on hold for 5 minutes I finally get through to 'Beatrice'... who asks if I am out of danger... I then tell her that I'm fine but my daughter is in a locked vehicle. After giving her all my info she informs me that the earliest ETA is 90 minutes!!! WTH?? 90 minutes...no no no... Amber would not be in there for 90 minutes... 'Beatrice' then kindly asks me to confirm once again that I am out of danger...me? NO dumba$$ my daughter's in danger ...not me!!! What about Amber? Is a child locked in a vehicle not considered 'IN DANGER'... ...ugh!!

Meanwhile I am trying to get Amber to use her toes to unlock the car... what a joke that turned out to be... she had her foot on the glass shouting 'look at my toes mommy!' She thinks this is the funniest thing... mommy playing peek a boo and playing sharades... crazy eh!

After I hang up the phone I decide to call the police for assistance... they kindly inform me that if they come they will just break my window... so my best bet would be to call the fire department. So I do... and they arrive within 5 minutes... like angels to the rescue ( pretty hawt ones too... I might add).

Within 10 minutes they manage to get a hanger like device into my passanger door and unlock. Oh thank you thank you!!

And they even gave Amber a teddy bear for being such a good brave girl.. what wonderful people...

Ok.. thats enough drama for one day... wouldnt you agree?

As for whats on the agenda tomorrow... Cancel CAA... useless duckers!! And get a spare key made!!

    The End! (thank gawd)

The same thing with AAA. Never any help, never prompt, always at least an hour wait.

    Glad Amber's ok though!

So this begs the question, are the firefighters different in Canada, or do they just have separate Engine Companies that monitor the dispatch. They only answer distress calls for hawt chicks.

In my town, the firefighters ain't Male Dancers, if you can smell what the LaTuFu is cookin'

It's the repeat offenders that get the dancers with the Denny's body as opposed to the Chippendale's body...

Glad to hear Amber is ok.!! That is crazy that they would make you wait that long.. AAA is just as bad... they also send some skanky looking people out.. Make ya hope to God they aren't going to mug ya after they fix ya up... if you dont mind waiting the 45 to 90 minutes they give you as the available window to help...

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~glad to hear everyone is okay. AAA is a joke. All the officers at my department have "lock jocks" and we open cars daily. Only if children or animals inside. I would say we average 2-3 a day. So your not the only one don't feel bad. Accidents happen

I would have broke the front window to get in the car, here in Florida it is a free repair.

Heck, I would have broke any window, if I had kids.

Thank goodness you and Amber are ok, kids always think your playing (but actually panicking) when they and the keys are locked in the car.
