Why can you not pull out our troups in IRAQ? Are you planning to kill more Americans? I think your hair is starting to fall off because you think too much. Please do something about our troops.

    Dear Idiot Bush,

Maybe if you like to have little wars and push models around pretend warzones, you should bugger off over there and be on the ground yourself, risk the suicide bombers, snipers, and general danger of being in a wartorn country with rivalling factions aiming to blow your nads off day and night. Maybe you should just give up now, pay a few extra cents per barrel and let the soldiers fighting over there come home to see their families.

Then someone should step up and have you impeached!

    Fondest regards,

Someone who cares about Armed forces around the world!

Also the Idiot Blair that was!

    Dearest Pres Bush,

Why is it you stand so tall up on the podium talking about how well you take care of our soldiers, but our VA Hospitals are crumbling and war veterans of Iraq and Afghan are being refused disability ratings for PTSD, and told they have preexisting psychological problems?? Are you so blind that you'd think you can send people off to shoot and kill others, watching their friends die next to them, watchinging insurgents murder children while they can do nothing but obsorb the hell around them for the length of their deployment until they get home, and that it will have NO affect on them mentally???

Then they come home to a system that is broken and cannot handle the thousands of new veterans trying to get medical treatment. Were you so blinded by your desire to take this country to war that you did not stop to think about fixing the broken VA system before you caused thousands of new patients to enter the system????

Mr. Bush, you are failing our veterans, the same men and women who put their lives down on the line to fight your war are now being neglected. It is your problem to fix, but you're too busy worrying about your approval rating and how you'll block Dem's from doing anything to fix this f*ck up you've made in Iraq. Be a man for once in your life and take care of our war veterans.

    Dear Undisclosed Satellite Company Customers,

Pat your bills, and I wont seem like such a bad person. Why are you calling a satellite company at 6:30am instead of going to work to get money to pay me? Why aren't you reading the fine print on your contracts? I'm just a guard at the prison, and don't make the rules either... Don't be mad at me because your kid or your dog ordered the $15 adult ppv with remote control and it has 4 steps to complete to order the ppv movie! Pay your bill and we will all just get along.

At the risk of letting this thread fall off the tracks, don't think for a moment that President Bush is solely responsible for the mess that the VA system is in. Sorry to completely thread jack. I hold him responsible at the moment because he is Commander In Chief right now. But you (the collective you taking this opportunity to bash one person, not anyone specific to this thread or this statement.) are kidding yourself if you think Fort Walter Reed went from A1 pristine military hospital to contaminated aid station since the war started.

The VA has been underfunded, undermanned, and underappreciated since the days of Kennedy. Every single President, Defense Secretary, Congressman, and Senator since 1950 has the blood and mental health of our veterans on their hands.

My father, a Vietnam Veteran (who also has been declined PTSD--since 1975, so this isn't a new phenomena) has to get up at 4:00 AM on the days he needs medical services from the VA. So he can drive to the nearest VA hospital, one hour away. He must check in by 0630 if he wants to be seen that day. He will then proceed to wait, on average, until 1300 or 1400 (1:00 PM or 2:00 PM) to have a young Doctor, still in Med School, look him over for 15 minutes, hand him a prescription, and toss him back into the lobby.

Mr. Bush has made plenty of mistakes, and its not worth listing them all here. But to be fair, he inherited this mess from his predecessors. They did just as much (i.e. NOTHING) to solve the problem as he did. So its not completely right to blame him for it. Especially when its the job of CONGRESS to provide adequate funding for it. Stop building multi-million dollar Coast Guard facilities in West Virginia, among many other countless thousands of tax payer funded boondoggles, and we'd have enough money to provide each veteran his own personal live in nurse.

Sorry for the vent, but this particular argument just doesn't sit well with me. Nobody cared that the VA was underfunded until there was a political opportunity to go after an unpopular President. Thats as despicable as doing nothing to solve the problem in the first place. Every elected official in Washington should write a formal letter of apology to every American Serviceman that has ever spent 10 minutes in a VA facility, and beg their forgiveness. These people swear to uphold and defend our constitution, and our elected officials spit on them for it.

    Maybe I should've clarified a little better.

I'm in the VA system and have been for 10 years, I'm well aware that it's a mess and has been a mess and while Bush is not responsible for the mess it was, he is responbile for how it is NOW.

The fact that current employees are denying claims of war veterans for preexisting conditions is happening during Bush's watch, so he is ultimately responsible. It's no secret the mess the VA healthcare system is in and he knew that going into the war, he beefed up the amount of soldiers, but has he set aside enough funds in the budget to hire more doctors and nurses? To open more mental health facilities? Do you know how long the waiting list is to get an eye appointment?? A YEAR! lol That's ridiculous and should have been thought of before he took us to war, let alone all this time into the war and he still hasn't tried to fix the f*ck up that is the VA healthcare system. Of course what happened to the Vietnam vets aren't Bush's problem, but what is happening to the Iraq and Afghan vets is his problem.

Oh and if a Dem was in office right now and at the helm I'd just as quickly blame him for the current issues. As I've expressed more than once I'm not a Dem.

Take a look over the last 30 years and see which presidents have cut military spending and which have increased it.
