My question is: Why do these people just leave their devices laying around for us to screw with? Mine is ALWAYS on my hip, if not in my hand.

If your messing with a real BlackBerry Addict I would move all of there icons around. I would be pretty made if someone messed all mine up. So I would just suggest you mess them up once, and then after they sit there forever trying to put them back into their normal spots move them around again.

Or you could set random events in their calandar for the day with alarms. That would be pretty funny.

Or even leave them without a password? I mean, c'mon - if you leave it open for anyone to play with, bad things will happen. It's not my fault. It's like tacit permission.

Since the use of bb's at the office, on my last 3 jobs we all know well to keep them close, the most common prank is adding a nasty message on bbmessenger, also msn live if is open or not password protected, sometimes just messaging contacts weird and nasty stuff.. ..lol

I got mine changed ONCE from someone on Sales dept, so all I needed was to go to bbserver and lock and change his password he had no way to use it, just so you dont mess with IT ... he learn his lesson, enable it but disable bberry messenger service, got a starbucks bribery so I enable it ..

I have done four major pranks, 2 on my girlfriend, and 2 on my buddy at work.

My buddy left his blackberry on his desk and went next door to the cafeteria to grab some gurb. I figured that's a bad idea, someone could steal it! So I took it. Put the ringer on silent, and put it in my desk. He came back and went about 1 hour before noticing his Curve was missing. So he askes, "Okay, who took my Curve?" Everyone made fun of him for leaving it out, and said somebody must have stolen it. One person said to call it, so he did and it didn't ring or vibrate because it was on silent. I waited about 30 minutes, I gave it back to him when he started to cry. That was classic.

Same guy just bought the Storm and was letting me play with it. Bad idea buddy, I took your Curve and kept it over an hour and you're letting me play with your Storm? He tells me, "It holds a simcard so you can buy it, unlock it, and use it on AT&T!" Thanks for telling me Sceeter! I switched out the sims, waited for it to reboot, then gave it back to him saying "thanks." After he gets it back he get onto Blackberry Messenger and says "Why won't it send?" Tries texting and emailing and says, "Justin what did you do to my Storm!?!" So I finally tell him. He hasn't talked to me since.

For my girlfriend, she hates technology. I gave he my old Pearl to try and change her mind, but to her its just a phone easier to text with. So on many occasions when she was sleeping I would take a picture or myself and change the owner information to things like McHunky and Mr. Dreamy! She just laughed at that.

One thing she hates more than technology is change. Last week she passed out from a long day at work. I grab her Berry, connect it to the PC, then download OS 4.5 and updated it, then put her theme back to the way it was set up. She wakes up 2 hours later, grabs her phone, and says very calmly "What did you do?" I said, "Nothing." She says "My Call Log looks different." I just played it off like I had no idea what she was talking about. Then she goes to call one of her girlfriends who's in speed dial, and you hear the rapid beeps and she yells "Why is it doing that?! What did you do?" She calls me the next day and tells me "Everythings different! My call logs, my address book, my text message screen,. I don't like it, you know I hate change!"

I gave her a week and she hasn't complained again about it. I wonder if she got used to it... maybe it's time to go back to 4.2?

If you all like doing pranks try this out. Look into 123spoof, its let you call people with someone else caller ID, and they wont have the slightest idea thats it you. I tried it on a friend that has Pizza Hut saved into their phone. She later told me that the craziest thing happend to her. LMFAO! Only one of my and i know about it. So keep it a secret. It works better that way. Let me know what you all think after you try it out.

I have the fakescreen app for my storm. When you activate it, then next time you push the screen it makes a cracking noise and then the screen simulates shattering. pretty funny
This is my Blackberry. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Blackberry is useless. Without my Blackberry I am useless.

I just like to hide all the icons on their BB desktop.

The freak out only lasts for a few minutes, but worth a good laugh and nothing that is too hard to undo.

Taking that one a step further, when my buddy was testing a new app that could ake screenshots of the BB, I took a screenshot of his desktop witha ll the icons, then used that screenshot as his desktop wallpaper and then hid all the icons on the desktop. He could see all the icons, but couldn't quite figure out why he couldn't select any of them. It took him awhile to figure out it was all a part of the background image.

No long term horrors, but the bewilderment in the meantime is priceless.
