Any other snake owners in here?

Just wondering if anyone else in here has pet snakes or if I'm the only one. I have one young snow cornsnake about 20" long and adopting another 4 foot corn snake from a friend of the daughter's this weekend. I think the hubby's just hoping it doesn't get as bad as when I owned rats and had a dozen of them at one point

I used to teach herpetology at a summer camp when I was in college. I had poisonous and non-poisonous snakes in my lab, used to entertain the kids by feeding them mice we captured around the camp.

    Does that count?

I guess that can count I just couldn't feed them the live mice since I've had mice and rats as pets before. Glad you can buy frozen dead ones now!

Nah feed them live once in a while (unless these are snakes that have spent their lives in captivity). Its pretty interesting to watch nature in action.

Yes, pet rats, not ratsnakes. Although...cornsnakes are sorta a ratsnake

Yes, they're captivity snakes so it's frozen/thawed for them. The hubby said he wouldn't mind feeding them live food though...ick...too much screaming!

Yeah, not a good idea if they are captivity raised.
