I'm an IT Tech and I have a user who is having the following problem.

User is setup with Wireless Synchronization

This is only happening with his Calendar.

When he creates a reoccurring meeting in Outlook 2003 and then tries to delete the occurrence from the handheld it doesn't update in outlook

but if he deletes the series from his handheld it deletes it from outlook.
    any ideas ?

    user is on the bes

    What version of BES?

I suspect that Microsoft Access is nothing but Microsoft Excel with a VBScript wrapper.

Make sure it's bi-directional sync on the server. Also, on the handheld go to, messages, option, email reconciliation. Look at the option for "delete on" and make sure it's set for "mailbox & handheld".

By 4.0 you mean 4.1.3 right.

I will double check the exact version of the BES,

For the Email Reconciliation Option - does it have to be set to Mailbox & Handheled because for other calendar items it deletes fine ? Right now its set to Handheld. (I thought this was just for messages)

Make sure under the E-Mail Reconciliation, then E-Mail Setting that you have the "Send EMail To Handheld feature enabled to YES.

Also make sure to look at the E-Mail Reconciliation feature and check for the following:

Wireless Reconcile - Set to ON
On Conflicts - Set to MAILBOX WINS

So i opened a case with RIM and they told me theres only two resolutions for this issue

    1. Replace the handheld with software that is running 4.2 or

wait for service pack 7 to come out for the BES

Handheld is already on 4.1 - there is no 4.2 for his model 8703e
