Question Questions re: multipart and other MIMEs on BES

We have a server-side app that sends email alerts to the desktop & Blackberry. Had originally built it using multipart MIME, but have found that while that works via ISP, it doesn't work on BES (BES sends the html part to the device, not the plain text part).
Am looking to connect with other developers who may have encountered similar problems and (hopefully) have come up with work-around solutions that produce optimal display on both the Blackberry and the Desktop (Outlook via Exchange).
Has anyone found a solution around this problem?

    Thanks!

Hey folks. I'm in the same boat. I want to send a properly formatted multipart msg to a user and have HTML display at the desktop, and text at the BB.

Am searching everwhere and finding nothing. Did you ever get anymore info, or some solution to this?

    Thanks,
    Brett

Hi Brett and welcome to Pinstack.

This may not be the solution you are looking for but since no one has posted a work around for this...if you wish to view HTML emails there are some very nice HTML apps that will allow you to view these emails properly on the handhelds. You may want to take a look at Empower or BBSmart available for purchase here on Pinstack:

Empower has a basic version for only $10.
