Hey guys, about to pull my hair out here.

This is a new install with exchange 2007. I set up everything yesterday and had it working with various users all day and night. This morning i had to reboot my exchange. Once i did that BES no longer works. I've have tried everything. It is not seeing the mapi profile. When i try to reconnect it says "The name could not be resolved. Network problems are preventing connection to exchange..blah blahh....I can ping exchange by name just fine, it's on the same domain, permissions are set correctly (remember it WAS working)....please help..thanks.

Messages weren't going through. And it was kinda frozen. Once i rebooted everybody was fine except for BES.

Okay. If you go to Start > Programs > Blackberry Enterprise server > Edit Mapi Profile, what does it show in there?

You might also try running C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Utility\FixMapiSvc.exe and see what happens.

I have to run, but I'll check back in later with you...

Hopefully someone else can follow up if I can't get back fast enough.

Thanks a lot for your help. but when i look for the mapi profiles it just shows a bunch of letters and numbers, no profile name?? I don't know which one to delete.

It sounds like the profiles is corrupted, have you had problems before with BES?

I would try removing the MAPI profile and recreate it. Also make sure you login as BesAdmin if not.

Also something that I have learnt in the last eight months, any time we move any BES user from one Exchange Storage Group to another, we have to restart the BES services. Otherwise any moved user(s) will not get their emails on the BB. Same thing if we failed the Exchange 2007 Cluster over to another node.
