Question PIN message from command line

    Hi guys,

Is there a way to send a message via PIN in a BES with command line?

In fact, in order to supervise our server room (temperatures become high in France and our cooling system not very sure ) I want to be alerted by PIN. My bby react with a big phone song when PIN is sent.
A third party program (mom 2000) can execute a command if alert comes up.

    Thank for you help

You can try sending an e-mail and make the sender a level 1 in the filters. This will give you the special alert.

Re: PIN message from command line

You can use an old Mobitex or DataTAC BlackBerry attached to a PC to do this.
Actually any BlackBerry will do. Then just write an app to send a PIN message from that device. I don't think you can send a PIN from anything other than an actual device which has its own PIN.

Bear in mind that a PIN is actually a device's MAC address (layer 2) {with the exception of BlackBerry Connect devices where the PIN is derived from the device's IMEI}.
