    New to Blackberry and BES

    Hello,

    Any help is appreciated.

    I just installed BES (What a PITA!) and now I need to connect my first BB, a 7100i. How do I do this? I seemed to have added myself as a user in BES, so how do I setup the 7100i? I tried enterprise activation, but all I get is two e-mails to my outlook account that read:

    "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server." Blah, blah, blah...

    Our activations usually go. Add a user to BES, be sure to set an activation password. From the device do an enterprise activatio with the email address the BB should be associated with and the password you set for that user. Then click the wheel and select activate. The phone will activate itself and receive service books. The whole process takes about 15 minutes. When complete you'll get an activation complete dialog box.

    ok, so I had a problem with my controller service and to answer my own question, I needed to click on the "Blackberry Domain" and then I could access my account and set an activation password. Thank you anyway!

    I think this site is going to prove to be an invaluable resource!!!

    BES=Blackberry Enterprise Server

    Is there a way to set it so that when I delete an e-mail on the BB, it deletes it off of the server?
