    Hi everyone

I'm the BES admin in our company, and i'm planning to use the lates BES SP6.

The reason of doing so, is basically with all the new features the SP6 offers, and i'm having problems with the current BES 4.1.3.18

Our email infrastructure is Microsoft Exchange 2007.

Last month we received the new BlackBerry Bold.

Some of the users are having problems with it, sometimes the syncronization doesn't work, and then need to do the Diagnostic Test for the mobile to start receiving emails.

My main concern is, should i upgrade or do a clean installation of SP6?

currently, we are running BES 4.1.3.18 on Windows 2000 Server.

I would really appreciate your tips and experience.

    Thank you.

If it was me I would upgrade unless the servere is messed up. It is not that bad.

If you do a clean installation you will need to make sure that you removed the SRP from BES so that you can use it on the new server. You will also have to re-activate all Blackberry's to the new BES server. This can be easy or hard depending on the end users and how many you have.

I would recommed upgrading unless you want to deal with the possibility of a few hours of down time. The upgrade should be about 1 - 2 hours. The new server coud be longer and since you have to setup all the users and BB's again it can be alot longer.

It is only a service pack. not a new version.

Would you reinstall all your XP machines because of a service pack?
    Most do not.
