    Monitoring Internet useage.

I accidentally stumbled across some BES application logs today that indicated some 'un-authorised' web browsing, via t-mobiles service. The log doesn't state who this person was - is there anyway I can monitor this / find out the device / user that it came from?

    Many thanks

    Problem resolved!

The log files are recorded in MDAT (default log file location)

I'm a relative newb to the BB world -- so please excuse my ignorance. I am on a Enterprise plan, and I have had my blackberry set up with my work IT department. I now receive corporate emails.

My questions are related to the original post: can my firm's IT/administrators monitor my internet usage? Also, can they monitor my use of programs like JiveTalk? Does it matter what my default browser is set to?

Doesn't this depend on the IT policy? I mean if you bought the phone, its your device, if you pay for the service its your internet/web stuff, if all they do is push your email, then I don't think they can legally "monitor" you...besides what applies to their emails.

This is an issue my company is going through, we are trying to figure out an enterprise BB solution, and how to handle stuff like this.

ChrisMc72 - good point. I should probably add that my company does give us the option to either: 1) have the firm purchase your device and pay for only the data, or; 2) let you purchase your own device, and let you pay for your own service (however, you will get $20-50 dollars a month back from the firm for data usage).

So either option entails the company paying for some part or all of the data plan.

    Any insight?

So do you mean internet browsing history log? I think that should be with the service provider, I cant imagine the ammount of bandwidth transfer to keep an updated server log before the unit cache fills up.
