    MDS Connection Service keeps crashing

I have just started with BES and our MDS Connection Service keeps crashing meaning my users are unable to send emails.

I restart it and a few minutes/seconds later it fails but the only way I can check is by refreshing the service.

Can someone assist me with trouble shooting this?

    Thanks

    Paul

I am running BES Manager 4.1.4.15 with Exchange 2003 SP2 on a Windows 2003 Standard SP 2 server

Re: MDS Connection Service keeps crashing

I've run across this a couple times. This has always worked for me. Go to this registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\B lackBerry MDS Connection Service. Make sure that the data value at the end of the string is the exact same as the name of the connection service you see in BlackBerry Manager. The value will end in MDS-CS_(a number). If names of servers change this can cause whats in the registry to match the actual MDS Connection Service name

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I checked the registry value and it is correct. Any other ideas?

    go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\BlackBerry MDS Connection Service/ImagePath

    in value:
add line in bold and change your server name
at the end after blah blah\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\MDS\webserver\\' -rbes "<BlackBerry_Enterprise_Server_name>_MDS-CS_1"
