How much does a user "use" a blackberry?

Is there a good metric for the "use" of a blackberry? Most of the stats are functions of how much Exchange activity a user has... I guess you could use "Sent Items" counts, maybe.

Our management, of course, is asking "once we give out these devices we want to make sure they are being used." I somehow don't think that would be a problem, but I still need to generate some metrics for them.

    Anyone else dealt with this?

    BlackBerry Manager shows stats

AS long as your are using a recent BES manager (4.0+) you can look at the individual accounts and see the number of messages sent/received, so from that single perspective you could get a metric. Another was would be to pull the data usage from the carrier's bill and track it that way.

Hope this helps and if you like my answer how about adding to my trust level?

    Thanks!
