Hourglassing after reboot immediately after EA

    Now this is odd

    Sprint 8703 off the shelf.

ESN swap fine. Provision fine. Enterprise activates fine.

After the EA, you turn it off and turn it back on.

It boots, gets the the Sprint logo screen, and completely hourglasses.

    WTH?

    Anyone ever experienced this before?

This is the 3rd device in 3 days that we have tried this on (all on the same email account).

so it looks like it is an issue with something in outlook or the bes that is causing this.

Any ideas where to start looking?

We have already removed them from the bes, wiped them, and added them.

Trying to find a resolution short of wiping all of her contacts, calendar, memo, emails, etc in outlook and making her start from scratch.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~when you deleted it from the BES did you remove ALL the files associated with the device on the BES? I forget the wording of the option. Make sure everything is deleted. Create brand NEW EA password. Good luck!

you mean removing all of the "user profiles" from the BES?

Yep, did that too....Comletely wiped the account from the BES, waited 2 hours, then tried again...

    This is odd to me.

I wonder if it something in the users Calendar or Addressbook, causing that. Nine out of ten times, it's one of those.

Do they have a lot of contacts?

We had one doing the same thing, but on the Verizon service.

We created a policy that didn't sync the calendar, and found that was the issue. After the inital sync, we changed the policy for the user and allowed calendar sync, and it works fine.
