I have AT&T, vodafone, Verizon. However, some are completely blank...
    Any advice?

Just give up on it. I spent a few weeks tracking this down and got no where.

It is a bug in BES, there is no fix for it scheduled at this time.
You can however write a script to clear the ITAdminQue and most will come back.

FYI there are 2 carrier fields in BES I can see:

    Home Carrier and Active carrier.

Home carrier appears to display the carrier information that is hardcoded onto the device itself (this is not changable as far as I know)

Active carrier displays the currently connected carrier.

We have a situation where our company changed carriers and we updated firmware on most devices to reflect the new carriers firmware releases:

    ie.
    • Started out with Carrier A device, carrier A SIM and carrier A's firmware. Device info screen shows carrier A
    • Switched to Carrier B (including SIMs) and updated device to carrier B's firmware. Device info screen still shows carrier A. (Firmware does not change the embeded carrier #)
    • On BES looking at the 2 columns I can see the device showing Home carrier "A" but Active carrier shown as "B".
Therefore the Home carrier is just the embeded info BES reads from the device and Active carrier is the one the device is connected to at the time.
If you could re write the embeded info on the device you could change the info seen in BES but it would depend on the field length and info type (numeric or alpha)
The Active carrier is obviously an Alpha field but also read from the device.

The question regarding the carrier info could be:
Carrier info is displayed differently on different phones (my own experience) and I understand there is more than one type of info field transmitted by carriers here:

    Operator
    Operator Name/Display

It could be possible a BB device is able to display one or the other with one preferred but BES only reads one of the particular info fields. So if the carrier didn't push text out on one of the fields (the one BES reads) there would be nothing displayed in the BES field.
i.e. I see some phones here in AU display "Telstra" and others display "Mobilenet" (Same SIM)

If you see numbers and not actual carriers then follow this KB

    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/searc...00%20224354469

Home carrier will be the carrier user activated on first time.
Active carrier, if it updates, will be the current carrier.
