    General Setup Question

I inherited a BES server set up by someone that had no idea what they were doing. Overall it has been working. I was troubleshooting some issues with calendar reconciliation and the recommended troubleshooting actions had to do with making sure that the DLLS in Exchange System Manager (on bes) matched versions with ESM (on Exchange).

Of course, I noticed that ESM is not installed on the BES server.

So my question is; If I install ESM now, what affect is it going to have on a working BES installation? Will I have to restart the server and everything will be happy? Will it all blow up? Anyone ever done this before?

    Thanks
    J

It shouldn't have any effect. You need it on your BES for everything to function properly.
