    Question Enterprise Activation Issue

    I have completed Enterprise Activation multiple times for my BB 8130. However, when I send messages from my email program, the confirmation check mark thingy does not show up on the device.

    Has anyone run into this or know how to correct it.

    When you open the the message again and scroll up into the header, what is the error message?

    Was this device originally activated on BIS? Is so, you may need to manually delete all the service books and resend them from the server.

    The error message is essential, but also verify with your provider that you have Enterprise service and not BIS service. The same thing happens with AT&T if you're set up with the wrong service. Don't know about Sprint.

    There is no error message. The sent email just does not appear in the device.

    Are you receiving email? Does the icon next to the email you tried to send ever become a red X?

    I can receive and send email. However, when I send email from the email program on my PC, there is no record of the sent message on the device.

    Sounds like you have your device set to Yes under "Hide Sent Messages"

    In Messages, try pressing ALT - O, to display Outgoing emails.

    Or, go to Messages > Options >> General Options, and change "Hide Sent Messages" to 'NO'.

    oops.. sorry.. Try "ALT - L" to sort Outgoing for an 8130 device.

    Also, be aware that you will only get "header" information on emails you send from your PC (on your BlackBerry). However, as long as the message is in your Sent folder on your PC, you can select More (All) on your BlackBerry to retrieve the entire message.

    When I hit alt L. It composes email.

    The hide sent messages option is set to NO on my BB.

    In side of your Messages, pull up menu, and click on Search. Then press Menu and select Recall. Check to see if you have a hotkey setup for 'Outgoing'.

    There is no hot key for outgoing.

    If interested in creating a shortcut for Outgoing, do the following.
    Go to Messages.
    Press menu key, and click trackball on "Search"
    change "Show:" to "Sent only"
    Press menu key, and click trackball on "Save"

    Type in your Title: Outgoing
    Choose a Shortcut key: Choose what is available and most convenient.
    Press menu key, and click trackball on "Save"

    Your Message list will automatically, display your search "Outgoing". Hopefully, now you see your sent items.

    Another thing to check, is under Messages >> Options >> Email Settings.
    Check to see that "Save Copy in Sent folder" is set to "Yes".
