Ya'll think it is possible for an email to show up on a BB, but ... Server Admins forum
Email on BB, but not exchange.
Ya'll think it is possible for an email to show up on a BB, but not the echange account? The user has only the echange account on the 8330. He states he got an email, but it was not in his outlook. I checked the server and there was no activity for the user account and the sender. Puzzled.
Open the message on the BB and scroll to the top to see what service it was delivered through.
If it is "Desktop", then what folder does the message on the BB say it's in? If it's not Desktop, then another mail service (not Exchange/BES) handled the message.
Does the person have any delegates to his Exchange mailbox? If so, and one of them deleted the message then this condition can occur IF you do not have hard delete reconcilation turned on. If a delegate deleted the message, go to the delegates "Deleted Items" folder to find the message, unless they hard deleted it.
Or did he have a momentary lapse of reason and accidentally hard delete the message thinking it was spam perhaps.
He deleted the email, thinking he could get back to it in outlook. He has no other mail services, and no delegates. I would expect to see the email in exchange activity/tracking, and it does not exist. He is the company pres, so other factors are possible.
Check the e-mail reconciliation on his device. It's probably set to delete on both the device and the server.
That was probably already stated in a post above in more of technical and verbose manner!

Reconciliation is set to delete both. The big question is why I do not see exchange server activity for the email he said he got on the BB.
