Changing the default email from address?

    Hi there!

I'm running the Blackberry Enterprise Server Express version (SBE?), and was wondering how exactly do I change the default from person that the activation emails and such originate from?

I scoured the registry and changed the entries there that pointed to it, restarted the services, but the emails still come from person X. I'd really like to change it so that the emails come from the support or IT mailbox instead.

    Is this possible?

Also, is HTML email capability in the express version? I'm running 4.1.4.15 ..do I just upgrade to SP6 of the BES?

on a full bes you can install remote blackberry manager and set the mapi profile for that logged in user.

    Not sure about express though.

Ok, so that's a no for html mail then.

I'm confused though about your reply regarding the MAPI...isn't there a way to just say hey BES Express, instead of sending emails as person A, assume the profile of person B? And by that I mean the profile that the role of BES Admin takes. It seems to use the System Default which I can't find reference to in MS SBS 2003.

    Good question

Did you ever get a resolution to this? I am our BES admin (among other job titles)and I am leaving the company, so I need to send those emails form another account. Did you figure out how to do it?
