    Can't figgue this out

-I can't get the wireless calendar to sync. Every things else works fine
On the server it shows as enabled. It will not sync.
I have removed and re added the user I have removed the data and disabled the unit then reassigned to the a new created user and added device to him
But it still works as before memos email and tasks sync but the Cal will not.
I have yet to try and nuke it and reinstall from fresh tomorrow unless I get a fix here.
    I will do this.
    One thing
When the user first hooked up to his laptop it connected to the desktop manager which was set to redirector.
He has since UN installed the desktop software and reinstalled using the correct settings
    No change.
I’m running a 2003 server SBS with exchange 2003 and bes express
Which I will do again as well
    Any thoughts would be appreciated
    Alex

Have you checked the wireless sync section in the options of the calendar, it could be set to no

On the BB, go to options-advanced options-service books. Delete the Desktop service book. Wait 30 seconds. Click the menu again and choose undelete. This should force start an enterprise activation. See if that helps at all.

If not, remove them from the bes (stats included), wipe the device, reregister the device, readd to the bes then do another EA.

    Thanx for the replies.
on the bes wireless in enabled.
the service books wouldn't have gone when I did the data wipe and disable?
I thnk some how the desktop software did something I think
I'm just gonna nuke it and start over.
and make sure I do the install of the desktop software myself
    Keep em comming thanx

Question: why even install DM if you are running on a BES?

And if it is necessary, if you are on a BES, install desktop manager as BlackBerry™ INTERNET service and NOT BlackBerry™ ENTERPRISE service.

    Re: Can't figgue this out

    - Wired backups/restores
    - There are some odd cases where a wired sync might be desired
    - USB Enterprise Activation
    - Editing of settings on the desktop (filters, folder redirection, etc)
    - App Loader
    - Tethering
    - Encryption key regeneration

...and probably even more reasons that I haven't listed. I wouldn't recommend installing DM for an end user but there are plenty of possible reasons for using DM with BES. DM installed with the BES option (and installed correctly -- i.e. without the Desktop Redirector, etc) isn't a problem in itself.
