cannot delete messages after BES upgrade

I upgraded my BES from 2.2 to 4.1 yesterday. Had a few small issues during the upgrade, but was able to work through them. Not all users migrated over successfully, so I simply removed them from the new 4.1 and re-added them. They are now receiving messages fine.

My current problem is, nobody seems to be able to delete messages from their blackberry that were received prior to the upgrade. They can delete message just fine that came in after the BES upgrade.

    Any ideas?

Re: cannot delete messages after BES upgrade

I was hoping for a solution that was not so involved that might be related to the BES upgrade. I have 100 users (all my users) with this problem and need a quick easy solution.

Re: cannot delete messages after BES upgrade

You problem is simply that the old message reference in the 2.2 state database are gone and BES is probably not able to sync because of this. (Your users are removed and re-add and hence they would have an EMPTY state db to start with).

Try asking the user to select message option to delete from handheld only.
