    Blocking email


    Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and this is my first Blackberry.I am having a problem with unwanted email and would like to know how to block them. I also receive multiple copies of same email if they are left unread on my desktop. How do I fix this ?. I have the 8703e and my company uses BES with Lotus Notes.
    I would really appreciate any help.

    I am not a BES user, so I really can't help you with this. It's sunday so there may be a delay in getting one of our BES experts to read this, but they will be along to help.

    Hello NormBlack, welcome to pinstack.

    One way to block unwanted email is to set up a smap blocker of some sort.

    You can set a filter for when that email arrives it pushes it to the trash.

    Or you can even email the person or company back and say you are getting unwanted emails.

    Some of your issues can be easily fixed depending on the version of BES your company is running. It may be difficult to arrange but your company needs to ensure your BES is running the latest service pack as "double ups" are a common issues on earlier BES versions for Domino.

    Also in relation to SPAM is your device also configured for BIS? All BIS accounts receive SPAM unless your Telco has a filter in place.

    If your SPAM is coming from a particular domain or has a common subject or content you can setup filters on your device.
