Blackberry Router service fails to connect

    Hi

    I recently upgraded two BES's from v4.1.5 to v5.0.1.
Since the upgrades the service, Blackberry Router, fails to connect (timeout - see exact error below) on startup. This only affects one of the BES's.
The servers are in different office and connect to different MS Exchanges.

I can start the service manually and it runs ok from that point onwards, but never starts automatically. The service is configured to start automatically and i have tried to 'Retsart the service' for both 1st and 2nd failures but the problem persists.

Has anyone had any similar problems, and if so how did you manage to correct the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

What kind of upgrades did you perform on these boxes? Were they in place upgrades or did you migrate to new hardware?

    Hi Jay,

Yes, both where upgrades on the same hardware.
I could create a batch job to start the service after a reboot, but this would be a last case scenario as it would be a patch as oppose to finding the problem and correcting it.

There might be a registry fix to avoid that....
