    Welcome to the stacks!

Definitely set up a policy on the server that forces your devices lock after a certain amount of time on inactivity. That is the best way to protect your company information if a users device gets lost or stolen.

Thanks! I am very interested in knowing what other Admins are doing for best practices when a User that has a Blackberry is terminated.

    1. Immediately go into BES and Set Password and Lock Handheld
    2. Recover device
    3. Backup Device in its current state

These are the three most important things we do following a termination. We actually do these steps the minute that the employee is in the HR Office getting the Axe...

So do you disable and wipe the handheld from the BES?

Do you know if you have to reactivate with the Service provider when you do that?
