    Bes Wifi

I found a post created by Hayden some time back about setting up the BES server to allow BES Router and Connections over WIFI but it didnt work for me.

    Here is the original thread:
    http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ad.php?t=46236

I read through the directions then remoted to the server where my BES is held. I never got the option to setup WIFI SRP. It went through the normal setup, then reboot. I did get an SRP page but that was just for the SRP for the US.

What did I miss? Does it need to be done on a different server?

I've tried an activation and it wasn't succesful. There could be many reasons why it didn't work. I can dns both servers from my phone over the wifi network so that isn't the problem. I could have port issues (either wirelessly blocked or blocked on the server). Don't know a good reason why it didn't work. I'm going through the thoughs to narrow the issue down. Right now my servers don't pass through to the internet (waiting for ATT engineers) so I decided to setup for use over wifi.

You BES doesn't have access to the internet?

Can you explain a little more how your network is set up?

Yeah it has access to the internet.

The current internet setup is going to be removed before the end of next week hopefully. The way that it connects to the internet is through a Linksys wrt54g that pulls its internet connection from dhcp supplied by the apartment complex that I live in. I dont know how they have their systems setup but I do know that ive had little issues with their system. When I first started building my equipment i added a dynamic dns program to update my address incase it was changed. It wouldnt work because there was no way for my to forward what I needed to the servers because of the switching that is supplied to me from the apartment.

But yes I do have an internet connection for the server. Right now it should be connected to the the SRP for here in the US.

Me thinks I just rambled on about nothing...
