BlackBerry smartphone users are unable to send or receive email messages.

This issue may be caused by sporadic packet loss between the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and any of the Novell GroupWise Post Office Agents (POAs). When the BlackBerry Enterprise Server tries to access BlackBerry smartphone users across Novell GroupWise POAs, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server re-logs in to the Novell GroupWise system and the login transaction stalls.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to RIM's development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

To workaround this issue, in the BlackBerry Manager, turn off Redirection for the affected BlackBerry smartphone users.
