    BES Notification

    I have a customer that is on the BES. He is getting all his emails from the BES, but he is not receiving any audible notification when he receives them. I made sure that everything was correct with his audio profiles, did a battery pull,etc. Still nothing. Any ideas what might be causing this issue? Thanks in advance.

    P.S. He is getting the audible notification with all other emails, just not the BES account.

    go into the profiles for his notifications, and make sure that under "Messages [Desktop]" that the notifications are set up, and are not muted. my users are set to receive a vibrate+tone.

    Yep. Already done. I did that before posting. Is there any BES setting that would be causing this issue?

    what version of BES are they on? what is the users BB Model & Current Handheld OS Level?

    I'm not sure of the BES version, but I'll look into it. The model is the 8310 with 4.2.2.170(312). ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    You need to find out if other users on the same bes are experiencing the same issue. If other users on the same BES (With the same IT Policies) are not experiencing the issue, its a handheld issue.
    I can not find a setting on the IT Policy (Or in the IT Policy Guide) to disable alerts.

    Have you tested the alert status by setting different alerts for "In Holster" and "Out of Holster"?? have you also tested whether or not the Vibrate alert works?

    Does the Handheld have any other issues with audio?

    I know you said you already checked the profiles but just to double check something when you go in and edit the profile and go into Messages[Desktop] and make sure that the volume is not set to mute...I overlook this all the time. It defaults to Mute on most profiles and you need to change it
