    BES delivery receipt issue

I came to this site because my work email (through Exchange web access) still was sending out delivery confirmation to everyone. I turned off the setting as described in this thread, but it did not work. I even turned it off for my other email accounts as well. I tried full power off, and also removing the battery, but it still sends out delivery confirmation emails which have my BlackBerry signature-- so I know it's going through that service, and is not from my work Exchange server.

    Any other tricks to try?

Anyone running 4.2 handheld code and above are not able to disable the ability to return read/delivery receipts from the handheld.

From a BES perspective, I am unsure if there is a way to set a policy to block this type of feature.

    Hello

In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP4, you can control whether users can send read receipt messages on their BlackBerry devices. Perform the following actions:
1.On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Messaging Agent, start the Registry Editor.
    2.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents.
    3.Right-click SuppressReadReceipts, and click Modify.
4.Perform one of the following actions:
•To prevent users from sending read receipt messages, type 1.
•To allow users to send read receipt messages, type 0.
    5.Click OK.
