    BES and SBS2k3

I am looking into getting Blackberry 7130s for several of my company's employees. However, being new to the mobile device world (other than a cell phone) I am not quite sure exactly which version of BES I would need. Our main server which has Exchange on it is a W2k3 SBS. I also have a W2k server running. From my looking around the net I am under the assumption that I should not install BES on the W2k2 SBS.

Is this correct? If someone could let me know either way I would truly appreciate it.

Vyperz. Thanks. I am actually a little confused. The Exchange 2003 is on the 2003 SBS so according to your post I would need to put it on another machine. However would I put the BES for 2003 SBS on the 2000 server or would I need to get the BES for 2000 Server and then direct it to Exchange on the 2003 SBS? I went to Blackberry.com and the link for BES for SBS2003 was dead.

Attached is what you need. Requirements etc included.

I'd recommend you get BES 4.0 or better. You can run BES and MS exchange on the same server unless you going to have a lot of email/sync intensive users like 500 plus. Also depends on you current hardware specs. However, let the attachment be your guide. You can even use the "Capacity Calculator" link there.

    Re: BES and SBS2k3

Thanks I will check out th link. At the current time the most that I will have to support is 5 users. Our company is growing at a steady pace so I would expect to be adding on people in the begining. I have OWA setup which is the way that most people check their email from the offsite locations. I am in the process of setting up a small WAN. I thought I read somewhere that there is a way to use OWA with Blackberrys. Is this correct. I am in the infant stages of research a solution and the Verizon rep is not the most knowledgable. Any ideas or recommendations would be gladly accepted.

I also have OMA enabled if this makes a difference.
