    BES Admin Permissions

    Hi All,

I'm new to the Blackberry world and am an Avaya Telecomm admin by trade with some windows background. I seem to get the systems that no one wants and Blackberry was one of them.

What type of windows permissions do I need to administrate the Blackberry Enterprise Server?
    Like Domain Admin, Exchange Admin?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Hey, what perms are you working on? The Admin account that will access all the email accounts and forward the mail to the device or are you setting up role based admin so some people can admin the server and some can activate devices?

    Re: BES Admin Permissions

    We need some clarification.

BES is usually administered from it service account.

The service account cannot be a domain admin and must be a exchange admin. I will find the exacts in the morn.....

    Re: BES Admin Permissions

He really doesnt have to be an exchange admin either, the accunt jus needs the correct permissions applied to it.
