    Bes 4.1 Help!!!

    Hi
Please can some help recently for some strange reason some blackerry users have lost thier connection to the bes server and stop receving emails, the only thing i can do is to carry out an enterprise activation, this will work for about 1 or 2 days and the device losses connection again. I have 120 users in our bes environment and about 7 users keep on lossing connection.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

    Thanks

    BES v4.1 SP4

Are the devices that disconnect able to get online? That's crucial. You might have to upgrade the BES itself.

What version of MS Exchange are you currently running. You may also want to check if the MS Exchange server rights are activated for the BES. I had that problem and found out you need to have certain rights activated on the Exchange server in order to send and receive e-mails. The exchange server rights are:

    SEND AS
    RECEIVE AS
    ADMINISTER INFORMATION STORE

Get with your Network Administrator that manages the Exchange Server and he should be able to help you on this issue.

    Regards,
    Tim

These permissions have been applied on the exchange and work fine as we already have some users that are on that exchnage and work fine. Its these particular 7 users that keep on losing connection.

We are running a 2003 exchange environment

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~are other things such as contacts and tasks being synced? If so I would verify that forwarding is still turned on for the 7 users experiencing the problem.

Do a battery pull or you might need an upgrade.

Try deleting and the undeleting the CMIME and SYNC service books and see what happens. Also try going to your MESSAGES icon. then go to Options, E-Mail Settings. Make sure the SEND E-MAIL TO HANDHELD feature is set to YES. Also go to the E-MAIL RECONCILIATION MENU and make sure the DELETE ON feature is set to PROMPT or MAILBOX & HANDHELD.Also make sure the WIRELESS RECONCILE feature is set to ON and the ON CONFLICTS feature is set to MAILBOX WINS.

    Regards,
    Tim

Actually try "Softreset" instead of a battery pull.

Are any of these 7 people in the domain admin group? That could also be causing the problem.
