First, what server are you running? LCS 2005, OCS 2007?

Second, the version of Enterprise Messenger available on the BlackBerry web site is either 1.11 or 1.18 (can't recall now). We couldn't get either to work, but our BES Admins were able to get version 1.23 from RIM. It works great.

Third, with that version of Enterprise Messenger, the user enters their domain email address under "Sign-in name", and their domain password under "Password", but leave "User Name" blank (go figgure!).

Finally, and probably most important, I don't know, but there may be something you need to set up or turn on at the BES. I do end user support - not BES, so I just don't know. Search the BES forum - maybe there's something there!

    Running OCS2007
BB running Office live communicator 2005 version 1.1.18

I'm not seeing anything in the BES about OCS, someone i know told me if i do the latest SP i should get a prompt to configure OCS on BES.

Do you know how your admins obtained the 1.23 from RIM?
i've checked the rim site and see nothing...

I actually was talking with RIM a couple weeks ago about this.
They are not support OCS 2007 at this time.
They will eventually, but he couldn't give me a firm date.
The only 'tip' he would give me was "don't forget to register your cert."

1.23? I'm going to have to go find that.

Yeah got a 123 cert from Thawte.com installed and working on the OCS server.
Users locally can use OCS fine, can query the GAl but nothing on the blackberry units yet.. not that many users just frustrating...

I found BlackBerry Client for use with Microsoft(R) Office Communications Server 2007(TM) v2.1.10 on the blackberry site and loaded it up on my BB but I get the error "Service not enabled for this handheld"

    Any ideas?

BTW I had to unzip the files load them up on my website then plug in my BB to my USB port and point my laptop web browser to the index.htm file at the URL where I posted the files. It prompted me for some active x stuff and after that it loaded the software on my bb and I was done.

I'm having this same issue, were you able to find a solution?
