BES 3.6 Enterprise Activation Password Creation

New to BB & BES. Company I am responsible for is running BES 3.6. Trying to activate BB using enterprise activation but the screen just hangs. Password creation is not available in the BES ad using exchange access password does not activate.
Phones are provisioned for Ent. Act. and display as they connect.
BES shows some users not contacting the BES server for 90 days.
Where do I create the password for enterprise activation?

3.6 doesn't have the ability to activate wireless, you have to do it through the wire.

3.6 is done through Desktop Manager, not wireless.

Your emails and calender appts will synch wireless, but not tasks, memos, and contact list. Those will all have to be done via the Desktop Manager

I have a similar problem, however i cannot seem to do it through the wire.

The desktop manager says that wireless reconciliation is not enabled and needs to be done on the device.

this is the first BB i've come accross where i haven't been able to set it up. its a 8310 smart phone.

i'm reluctant to upgrade the BES as its been running perfectly for a number of years.

The benefit alone to upgrading to 4.x is worth the trouble (and actually the upgrade is very easy, btw).

You don't have to mess with Desktop Manager at the client level, you can wirelessly activate your devices, sync contacts, calendar entries, tasks, etc. -

It was like night and day upgrading to 4.x for my old company a few years ago. Our support calls dropped a ton.

To take advantage of these features, however, you will want to make sure your handheld OS is at v3.8 or later.

Yep - you will, but it is worth every penny - your users will LOVE you for it.
