    BB mobile communicator

    Hi All,
I hope my first post doesn't sound to stupid. My BES admin has tried to push mobile communicator to my 8703 several times. It never makes it to the handset. I was wondering if any of you on here had the install files? If so any chance of getting them zipped up and emailed?

    Thanks

I'm not sure what "Mobile Communicator" is.

BlackBerry Messenger should be included in your device's Firmware package. Otherwise it's available at:
    http://www.blackberry.com/messenger/entry.do (OTA)

BlackBerry's Yahoo Messenger Client (doesn't work for Cingular clients and IE 5 or higher is required) is available at:
    http://www.blackberry.com/YahooDownload/index.do

BlackBerry's Google Talk client is available at:
    http://www.blackberry.com/GoogleTalk/index.do

If you mean the Groupwise, LCS, or SameTime Clients, they're part of BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1, and also comes with BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express which is available for free at https://www.blackberry.com/express/ (PIN required).

    hawaiianks, Welcome to PinStack.

I think this is really a BB Admin Question. I'll see about getting the Thread moved.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

    Re: BB mobile communicator

Have you removed any applications from your device? I had the exact same problem. The cause ended up being that I had deleted BB Messenger previously. It also removed two modules "net_rim_bb_qm_peer.cod" and "net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_en.cod" from the device.

Once I reinstalled those, I could see the app once it was pushed.

sometimes if the devices.xml file on the server is not current, it will not push apps to newer handhelds..

Anybody know if MS communicator can be accessed via Express using a VZW 8703e? If so is this an app that's downloaded to an individual BB or to a company network?
