Will T-Mobile get the "lNDIGO" 8800 ???

Yea yea its me again, the New kidd on the block...

I realize there are 3 versions of the 8800 being released. But I have yet to find out how much it will cost or which phone service will carry the "INDIGO"... Wait a second, don't get me wrong the I like all three. But its somthin about the all black version that gives it a sleek 007 appeal....
Can someone help me out???

I was told yesterday that they would be getting the camera version... but since their cs people in the stores usually aren't very well informed i wouldn't call it a "reliable" source.

TMobile (as well as Cingular) will be carrying both a camera and noncamera version. Expect the non cam to be released first with the cam version hitting the market approx 3 months after.

That is the question of the year. All we can do is wait and see. I can't consider the rumors because there is always a possibility of them being wrong (then again they could be right, lol)

I hope that Tmo will get one of the 8800s with WiFi, that would seal the deal on my upgrade from the pearl.

It is my understanding that TMO's will have WiFi. The BB should work with TMO's up coming UMA service. The big question is will the INDIGO be the 8800 without WiFi and the CRIMSON be the 8900 with Wifi and Camera???? Is the Indigo going to be released next month and the Crimson in June or July???

Does wifi mean "true" wifi or just UMA support?

Re: Will T-Mobile get the "lNDIGO" 8800 ???

I was in a T-Mobile store yesterday adding another line to my account for my GF!!!! I couldn't talk her into getting a BB Pearl, so she got a T-Mobile Dash. I tried to make friendly conversation with the sales rep and ask about the 8800. He said that they were getting there version of the 8800 mid May!!!!!! It will be a camera version one as well!

Granted some reps--no matter what carrier as I have seen--are not well informed or very knowledgeable. Yet, at most companies, wireless or otherwise, you must sign a non disclosure statement and you're unable to speak about ideas, products, and the like before they are even released without being reprimanded or even losing your job.

This is true for a lot things. Usually, phone releases are part of that. Here's why, They want all of us to be informed and letting people know what major phones are going to be released, It builds business.

Just like the iPhones.. I'm asked daily where they are because they want one. Truth is, we wont see them till June......
