Weird Call Behavior With New OS
I have an 8800 on AT&T with the new 220.127.116.11 OS. Ever since upgrading the OS, I have the following problems:
Any call I answer automatically answers on speakerphone for about 5 seconds (then switches to non speakerphone).
More often than in the past, calls seem to not ring and / or go straight to voicemail.
Any ideas? Is this a peculiarity of the new OS or are there profile settings I just need to tweak?

This was an issue with many of the first 4.5 upgrades. I would suggest going with a newer version to see if it fixes the problem. I believe the newest official is .140. It wont be from your carrier and you will need to delete the vendor.xml to install but I am guessing this will solve the issue.
Thanks! I will try it now.
Oh, forgive me, but how / where do I delete the vendor.xml?
After installing the operating system to your PC go to c/program files/common files/research in motion/app loader and the vendor file should be the last one in the folder. After deleting I would suggest using the loader file found in the same folder to install the OS instead of desktop manager.

Thanks. I successfully installed the latest version of 4.5 (.140). However, I still have the same behavior: first 5 seconds of answered call is on speakerphone; calls straight to voicemail and annoying dial tones on speakerphone when dialing with one-key quick dial.
Any other ideas?
