    Video and full screen?

    Hi all

Im new to this so apologise if I seem a little thick!!!!

Ive just got a 8800 from work and have bought a 4gb Micro SD card so that I can put video onto it.

I have successfully converted some video (after alot of problems) but it doesn't play in full screen like the demo video does.

What resolution size is the demo version in- does anyone know?

After alot of trial and error I have found that I have to convert it to a little less than 320 x 240 or it wont play.

I also don't have the option to remove the media player controls from the screen when playing the video (ie play in full screen mode).

Can anyone give me a few pointers please?

    Thanks in anticipation

I went from a BlackBerry Curve 8300 to a BlackBerry 8800 and have the same problem - digital videos do not play full-screen and for about a hundred different reasons, the default media player is pathetic.

So I went searching for alternatives...

For digital audio, I settled on Electric Pocket's FlipSide, which allows you to browse music using a "CoverFlow" interface, as made famous by Apple in iTunes, on the iPhone and iPod Touch - FlipSide can even download "missing" album artwork for you!

There is a trial available at:

So far the only alternative for digital video playback I have found is SHAPE Services' xPlayer, which also plays digital audio.

xPlayer is pretty basic, but it gives you a choice of two skins and best of all, it's completely free!

You can download xPlayer for free at:

    Thanks for that

As I have said Im new to this so I apologise for this-
Work didn't supply the leads to connect to my computer- I plug the SD card into my card reader and add the files that way.

How do I install the new media player?
