I am hoping they do away with all this exclusive stuff. I like the fact that this BB is gonna have a hybrid CDMA/GSM radio. Just wish it had 850 for us yankee's. Still no cam or wifi? |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com) My upgrade is next month. Was planning on getting a 8703e. Now I don't know. I have a feeling it's going to take VZW a long time to get this device. |

well that Q2 in the pic certainly piques my interest. I was going to go out and get the 8703, but now I'll wait to hear what goes on on 2.12. Perhaps details about a global multi platform launch will be released....I hope this means that there won't be an exclusive with this phone.

Any guesses as to what they'll charge with a 2 year commitment for this thing? My guess is 400, but we'll see....

| Re: Verizon Wireless to get BlackBerry codenamed "Cyclone"!?!
I cant see where it would benifit RIM to sell the 8800 to cingular exclusively. they would make less money than if they spread it through the whole cellular market. If I was to switch to Cingular to purchase an 8800 than how would rim make money selling bb's to sprint. This isnt the IPHONE were talking about, that phone has no other competition currently so apple made a smart initial move. RIM would have some idiots working in research and development if they went with one company exclusivly....... sorry for going a bit of topic. I hope Verizon gets it soon |

so those February release dates are looking pretty accurate. I hope someone will just release it so I can start counting down to T-mobile's release.

my 2 yr contract is up at the end of Feb and they're dying for me to renew. If this shows up in Feb, I'd be amazed

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Man I hope the first release is GSM. I'm not interested in a CDMA device. |
